Being hacked ruins your business- 75% of UK consumers agree

Reduce the risk from a cyber-attack or the number of your clients will reduce.

Every business holds some kind of private and sensitive information either from their customers or their own. For every business, it is essential to nurture consumers trust so they can feel comfortable and safe with your business.

Being hacked does the opposite.

According to a new research conducted by Centrify 66% of U.S., 75% of U.K. and 57% of German consumers are likely to stop doing business with a hacked organization.

Consumers admit that, nowadays, they are more likely to expect from a business to be hacked and not to be protected. On the other side, half say that businesses are taking care for their customer's online security.

How consumers feel about safety and protection shows a survey where people from Germany, UK and the US expressed that they wouldn’t do business with a organization that suffered a data reach and rated businesses as 9 or 10 on a 10-point scale when it comes to hacking protection and online information security.

Even though it is clear that organizations should invest in protecting themselves against a possible cyber-attack, only 1 out of 3 organizations is actually planning to do so.

It is obvious more than ever that every organization needs to take responsibility about their customer information security and to reduce the risk of a cyber-attack either they will reduce the number of their customers.

Stay safe.
